Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his distinctive mixture of soul gospel, R&B as well as R&B. The singer has worked everywhere from Broadway to The Democratic National Convention to the European scene of clubs and festivals. Sunshine's real the name of Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta however, her roots lie situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop a musical career singing and playing the piano at the church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her musical apprenticeship in the Atlanta's R&B scene. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You a House 12, was only released in Japan. It has been remixed numerous times and has become a staple in her live performance. Additionally, she was a part of The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005 she took on the role of the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) was approached for a position as director of the choral section of Dreamgirls in Atlanta during the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to perform as part of President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
