Sasha Allen who is an openly transgender female transgender singer who made it to the Live Shows of The Voice set the record straight as they made it there. She was the first in 21 years of The Voice contests Sasha had made it beyond the Battle Rounds. The Newtown duo of Jim and Sasha Allen are now in the top 8 within the 21-year history of the Live Shows The Voice! Sasha made it known that he's transgender when he presented their audition package at the Blind Auditions. According to Parade.com it was an easy decision. Sasha was transgender in high school and stated that it was challenging to disclose such the vulnerable part of him in front of so many people. The support of the fans as well as the effects that this affected people even though it was a difficult one, was what really has convinced Sasha to make the change worthwhile. The Voice wasn't even around at the time we performed this track. We were thrilled when we got it. It was a song we thought of and we came up with thoughts of how to set it up. Fans definitely hit the mark."
